September 2022: Two weeks exploring the South Caucasus

We are going to visit Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan: three countries at the cross roads between Asia and Europe with history going back millenia. More recently they have emerged from the former USSR to find themselves right on the frontline facing Mad Vlad and his crazed ambition to become ‘Vladimir the Great’.

Each of the three countries is dominated politically and economically by its capital: Yerevan in Armenia, Tbilisi for Georgia and Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan. So, we spend a couple of days in each capital but as you can see from the map we are darting around all three countries to try to make the most of our two weeks!
