The Road Trip in Detail…..

We get into San Francisco on the Wednesday after Christmas, 28th December. We spend five days as the guests of Gerard and Nathalie Brossard in Menlo Park, a posh suburb about half way betweenn San Francisco and San Jose at the western end of the Dumbarton Bridge. Gerard is an early retired IT whiz and Nathalie a much travelled consultant who has spent a great deal of time in Africa.

Having got over the New Year celebrations we pick up our convertible 5litre Mustang from San Francisco airport and off we go!!! Given they don’t see a great deal of Will and Marion we are being joined on the first few days of the Road Trip by Gerard, Nathalie, Will and Marion in their own car. Nathalie has kindly booked all the accomodation down to Palm Springs, so i don’t entirely know what we have let ourselves in for…..
